28th January

28th Jan, I remember this day due to the incident one year ago when 许玮伦 past away because of the car accident. Hence this post is dedicated to this very pretty and talented girl. I’m sure many people will still remember her, especially that beautiful smile.

Found this picture in my computer. Taken with 丞琳.

Anyways, rest in peace…

超级星光大道2

Finally had time to watch the grand finals. Everyone sang really well; even those contestants who I didn’t really like because I felt they shouldn’t have came so far. And congrats to Yuming, 賴銘偉 ! I knew he could make it since the first time I heard his singing. Really glad that 梁文音 came in 2nd, I like her smile very much. Both of my favourites finished top 2 !

This season is pretty nice. In fact I felt it was much better than the 1st one. Something which was surprising because I felt it was going to suck at the beginning of the season.

17th Jan 2008

Went to JB with my mum yesterday to get my bank draft for the school fees. Woke up at about 9 and took a bus to the checkpoint. This is the first time I tried taking a bus to JB. Its quite fast actually, just that you have to get off the bus at both checkpoints to get your immigration stuffs done. The service at the bank was slow and crap as usual; I wonder why the HSBC there and here has such a big difference.

Got lunch at the famous curry fish head in JB. The curry tasted really good, portion is big , fish is fresh and its quite cheap. $19 for 2 person I think. Shared a table with another Singaporean and the uncle said he had been patronize this shop since it was $10 a pot.

Not so glam Kitchen.

After lunch we went to City Square to get a haircut. Decided to go back to Reds because I prefer a stylist there. Also browse around and tried to do some CNY shopping but nothing much to get. Went to grab a drink and rest at Starbuck. And it was the worst ice blend I ever had because the ice were to hoarse that I have problem drinking from the straw. Anyways, we left at about 3:30 and at the checkpoint it was so crowded because there was like 4-5 coach buses of Japanese students, a girls school apparently. Something weird tho is that why are they wearing school uniform. Even if its like a school trip or something still looks abit weird.

Reached home at about 5. Took a drink and went to school to hand in the bank draft. Also went to Victoria Street because my mum wanted to get flour, almond nuts, sugar, etc for making the almond and pineapple tarts for CNY. Wanted to buy dinner from Chinatown but I took a wrong turn so instead, went to Tiong Bahru hawker center.

Pulau Tekong BMTC

Today I had the chance to go to Tekong because my cousin is enlisting. Really brought back alot of memories. Kinda miss those days, especially my bunkmates. Somehow it just felt like yesterday. Mix feelings of excitement, fear and uncertainty. And also the sadness of leaving your loved ones to walk this path alone. But soon to find out that you are not alone.

The BMTC looks abit different from the last time I went there. The item they issue were also quite different. Especially the SBO and fieldpack. They looks so cool that I feel like throwing my old ones away. Anyways good luck to those recruits, enjoy the time on this offshore military training facility.

R.I.P MC King

To one of Singapore’s most well-known comedian and actor. In fact I think his name is already a household name here. I have been watching his performances since young. Condolences to his friend’s and family.

His blog can be located @ http://mcking13.spaces.live.com/ Sad that he still has many dreams yet to fulfill. Hence its a reminder for us who are still breathing to make use of each breathe and live life to the fullest. Or at least try…

Prawning

When prawning with Bingwen, Eddie and their primary school friend Michelle @ Bishan park the other day. The catch rate there is pretty good compared to the ECP one. The first time I ever went prawning was at ECP, 1 hour and we got zero prawns. Perhaps that was why that place closed down.

The Bishan one was really fun. If you find the right spot, you catch alot. Bingwen and me found that spot at the last 30 mins and we got about 10+ prawns in that time. But its better to go during weekends because we went on a weekday and we didn’t get that many.

Here we are preparing the prawns for BBQ.

Happy New Year

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind.. should auld acquaintance be forgot, and days o’ auld lang syne. Its the new year again! Hope 2008 will be a great year. 2007 seem to have flown by so quickly. I think I should spend sometime to recollect what has been done in 2007 and set some goals for 2008. Anyways wish my family and friends a happy year ahead~
