Its summer time

Singapore’s “SUMMER” is back. For the past few days like super hot. Not even the rain could help. I remember during army, the hottest periods were in March. Looks like the climate is really changing. Rainy season was in January this year and now summer is like 2 months late. Not really sure whats the room temperature now because my thermometer is out of battery but it is definitely warm but still bearable for me. I wonder how much higher can the temperature go this time.

Just got home and I only used it for a couple of minutes before I started to have problem loading pages. I restarted my modem and router thinking that it might be the BT overloading the router again. But after doing that I still have problems. After some testing, I guess its the overseas network on Starhub is having problems. I can still go to Taiwan and Japan websites but US/EU are inaccessible. Reminds me of last week’s Southpark where internet was limited. Crap… maybe I should go take a nap while the ISP sort the problem out. I hope its not like the Taiwan earthquake 1 year ago where almost 80% of the internet infrastructure was crippled.
My week

When drinking nearby and then decided to play Monopoly Rey, Zy, Nic and PK on Friday. Haven played a board game for ages hence it was pretty entertaining.
Have been sleeping in the day and spending the past week doing assignments from night into the early mornings @ NTU. Went to a market/hawker center somewhere in Jurong, no idea whats that place called. The penang prawn noodles were pretty good. Decided to slack tonight and watch some shows.. will continue with the assignments tmr. Damn pivot table just wont work properly in excel…
Clementi trip

Drove my mum to Clementi market for buy beef and pork. I haven’t been to a market for ages. Also Clementi central looks so much different from lastime. There used to be a playground and some circular shop houses near the market/hawker center, now its empty.
Went over to the beef stall and I recognize the uncle immediately. But he can’t recognize me anymore since the last time I came was when I was a little kid. Its really nice to see some things remaining unchanged after so long.
I don’t usually pump at Esso but I just wanted to come back to look at how the place look like. I used to stay at block 334 behind Esso.
Chinese Democracy Finished.

News from ultimate guitar says that Chinese Democracy is finally done. But I wonder how long do we have to wait for it to be released. It says that those that buy the album in the US might get a free can drink. I wonder what can we get in Singapore. A kit-kat maybe.
I hope the album really lives up to fan’s expectations and not follow what Metallica as did.

Its 4am already. Didn’t expect my finishing touches to the report would take so long. Need to go to bed soon, still have to go over to client’s office before going to class and theres soccer at night. BUT I don’t feel that sleepy yet as usual. Been looping various versions of Take that’s patience on my player for the past few hours and still not bored of the song. Guess that would be my song of the day.
Just watched this week’s episode of Southpark and the moral of the episode is…. CHEATING IS THE WAY TO SUCCESS. Somehow this season of Southpark isn’t as nice as previous seasons. Currently theres only Southpark and Contender asia to watch. Reaper, Smallville, Lost is on break for another 1-2 weeks. Fifth gear, Top gear, Prison break, Heros, 24 won’t be back till next season I believe. I’m barely surviving on so little shows to watch…..

Finally, I’m finishing up with my assignments. Just need alil bit of finishing touches and I can submit the rest of it. Last night, after submitting the data mining report, I spent like an hour playing CS. I haven’t double clicked on that icon for more than a year ever since all 3 of my steam accounts for banned for no obvious reasons. Kinda miss those days playing competitive CS.
Woke up today with a runny nose; must be the air con. I don’t usually use the air conditioning but last night was really warm. I think I’ll skip jogging tonight; maybe I’ll clean up my skates and go skating…
The useless post

Feel like writing something, but don’t have a clue what to write. Still waiting for the damn weka to produce my research results.
Feeling confused, jaded, both physically and mentally. Need to find a solace… need to get my act together. But theres so much going on recently. Ya, shit happens. But I’m stepping into it with every step I take… I hope this is rock bottom.
Parking fines !

Yes. Finally after more than a month, HDB finally replied me to waive that $100 fine for parking in the loading/unloading bay for less that 5 minutes. Thank god… From now on, lesson learned is to park in the carpark. Want to put coupon or not is up to you. List compiled from my experience:
- Park with overdue coupon is like $6-10 dollars.
- Park without is like $30.
- Overnight parking is $50 or $60 i think. There are disputes about only night parking coupons are allowed or if using regular $1X2 or $0.50X4 will do. I believe nowadays they only allow the yellow coupons
- Parking in loading/unloading bay $100
- Parking on double yellow line $100
- Parking in the handicap lot? $300 or 500 + demerit points I heard. Never do that.
- And of course the most recent incident. Parking with tampered coupon. They just need to suspect you only. URA will slap you with a $1500 fine. They will also send wardens to guard your car for 24 hours waiting for you to collect your car before towing it away. You can appeal, and they will take you to court.
So conclusion of my findings will be, just park in the designated lots and put at least one coupon and don’t do anymore stunts. I guess theres more but this is all I have experienced recently.
