Last day of August

It’s been awhile since I went to a “IT show”. But this comex, I took the chance to meet up with some uni friends. Couldn’t help not buying a portable harddisk when the prices are so low. I guess I better not squander anymore until I find a job.
Speaking of jobs, it’s been about a month since I started searching and interviewing. Felt kinda tired of this stupid process. Sent out so much applications until I can’t really remember what I applied for. People would call me up and I couldn’t remember what I applied for. But usually I’ll just say I’m interested to go for the interview anyways. The thing I hate is that I can’t really sleep peacefully without receiving a call, especially in the last 2 weeks when I’m so damn sick and I sleep like a bear hibernating during winter. Just hope I can get some good offers soon and start my career.

Haven’t been to JB since Feb I think. Went to close all the FD account with HSBC. Seriously I feel the rules & regulations over there is ridiculous. Few years back, we wanted to deposit money there and they only allowed maximum of 10K per account. But we were allowed to open multiple accounts. In the end, had to do like 5 accounts to put all the money in. I always thought that the bank will welcome you with open arms when you wanna put your money with them. Some other stupid rules include, $5 surcharge when you go to the counter to do your transactions, but if you took a number and go to a customer service officer at the desk, its free. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? And the thing I cannot accept is that you have to pay $5 for your ATM card every month. For fuck sake, people are given credit card waivers and they are charging for a damn ATM card which has like only one ATM in each state.
Anyways, wanted to eat the clay pot curry fish head but there was a queue so had to settle for McDonald’s at City Square. I was cheated by the picture of their “Special McSpicy Burger”. Apparently the real thing was nowhere close to the huge burger in the picture. Tho, the bread and chicken is different from Singapore’s.
Did some shopping after lunch. Got 3 pairs of shoes from this “Vad & Vid Shoes” place. There was this really cute looking salesgirl there. How I wish it was in Singapore. Got some pants for work, finally mooncakes. Most of the major brands where centralized there.
Feeling so tired now. I wonder how people can enjoy shopping. So much walking carrying so many things. Its like a route march. I hate route march. Also, happy national day to our dearest neighbour Malaysia, should be sometime this week.

Great weekend this week, something to spice up my recent boring life; hence all the rubbish post on the blog.
Celebrated my Mum’s birthday today. We went over Siglap Thai Express for dinner. Surprisingly the food there wasn’t bad, service likewise. Haven’t eaten at TE for years since the time I ate at Paragon outlet and the food was terrible. I believe everyone had a good time mainly because our adorable Laurel came along. Watching her makes me feel like having a kid of my own too, but I guess that will have to wait.
Weather recently is nice, I almost spent the whole day lying on the bed. 
Ahh but I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow because I’ll have to run around outside. Well, maybe rain in the late evening ^_^

Another busy day. I really hate last minute interviews. Called me up at about 10 and told me the interview was at 3. I don’t even have time to do some basic research, not to mention my head is heavy from my medication. Came home at about 6 and rest for an hour before going out for dinner and jersey shopping before the game.
In the end we decided on getting the Germany one. This is actually the first time I bought an authentic jersey for myself. On the way to ECP, we were caught in a jam at Benjamin Sheares Bridge. Just went we reach the top, fireworks started. Really cool. I haven’t seen live fireworks for years.
After the game went to watch “Cyborg She”. Rather simple story, which kept me guessing whats gonna happen next. I got most of it except the final twist was too far reach for my imagination. Haruka Ayase looks great in this movie. Not a super hit type movie, but I like it for the simplicity.

Down wih some weird virus for the pass few days. Runny nose, coughing. Good thing the medication makes me sleepy hence I spend most of my time sleeping. Finally, today I’m feeling better… also just got the chance to go for a run in the GTR. The feeling is EPIC. The weather is quite wet today so the wheels were losing traction here and there and it wasn’t easy to push the car to the max. But it was still mighty quick.Never ever felt something like this in a car. It’s scary and breathtaking. Definately brought a smile to me face.

It’s been 1 month since my injury and 3 weeks break from soccer I would think that my foot is 100% but after playing last night I was so wrong. Now I understand why soccer players goes out for so long just because of small injuries. I really hope it heals properly, like I haven’t got enough injuries to both legs.

Just a day ago I was telling my friend anti virus ain’t required as long as you are careful and today I got one myself. This must be a way of god punishing one for being too cocky. Some weird chinese virus that change my right click options to chinese and locks up my task manager, force my homepage to some chinese web too.
Now I’m watching the Singapore Korea table tennis game while formating my desktop. The first game was a breeze for Singapore. The second one now is pretty exciting. Hope we can see our first medal !

Today is national day! Also a family day for me. Its been a long time since my whole family went to “扫墓” with my grandma. I really enjoyed the time spent together. Just like what “money no enough 2″ stressed about. Spending quality time with the family is more important than having tons of money. Hope that everyone will get to do that more.

Although I decided not to post rating/comments reviews of anything, anymore. I still want to say that money no enough 2 is still a pretty good show. It wasn’t as bad as the movie critics said. I only didn’t like the way the overstressed the ERP thing. Other than that I like the movie, there are the funny parts and those touching ones.
Also, I missed the Olympics opening! Gonna look for downloads… I love to watch Olympics opening. This year should be an interesting year.
