On this very day 4 years ago, I got enlisted into Tekong BMTC School 2, Pegasus company. I was in platoon 3, section 4, bed 10. I’ll never forget the time when my Mum cried while hugging me before I leaving. Anyways, I really enjoyed the time there, especially with my section mates. Only thing I didn’t like was that my PS and PC were both assholes.

After BMT, I was posted to PLAB FDS. At first everything seemed cool. Being able to see all kinds of military planes. But soon, I realized the place is a shit hole. People there treat you like dirt. The instructors were a bunch of mofos especially the regulars. Sgts were ok, most Cpls were fucktards. Life there was like the darkest period. The single good thing was that my bunk mates were really fun people.

So after that 3 months of hell, I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I was posted to AFS. That was the better posting you can get I think, I didn’t really know what was happening at other places but at least it was better than the shitty environment in the air bases. The good thing about AFS is that it isn’t so regimented. It’s a training school so mainly we deal with trainees and perm staffs were stay out. The only problem was the shortage of manpower. It was hard to clear our offs and leaves. We had to get help from lobo trainees whenever possible. The worst shift I ever worked in was with 3 man. That meant 22 hours of duty out of 24. That was the only time I ever fell asleep during duty. I remember it was somewhere between, 5-6 am. I’m not saying I’m a great soldier but no matter how tired I feel, I won’t doze off during my duty because I’m a responsible person ^_^ except for that time of course. I’m no Jack Bauer.

Overall, I had a really good time at AFS. Big thank you to those I’ve worked with! Especially those in my shift who allowed me to clear my leaves and offs early to go off for studies. Well, that’s all for the summary about my NS. People say you’ll transform from boy to man, I’m not sure what they meant by that. I feel pretty much the same and I think you need a woman to make yourself feel like a man. What I did learned the meaning of every man for himself, learned how screw up the system can be and generally become a smarter person when dealing with things and people.

It has been a fruitful 2 months since finishing school. Lots of accomplishments, in many which were new to me. As of now, I’ve had enough of enjoyment and hope my job will start soon, kinda sick of slacking. I wonder what’s holding up the HR with processing; maybe I have to start bugging them.

Once the job is settle, I can start planning for taking the GMAT for the MBA. Another thing I have been procasinating is starting to go for blood donation.

Sep 11 2008. My WoW account was hacked. After investiagations by myself, I found some tons of keylogger and worms that aims to steal online gaming passwords. I got careless I guess, tho I have no idea how these things got into my system. The damn anti virus that I had trusted for years has failed me. It failed to detect most of the trojans which I found with another AV.

Lesson learned is that one should never get too complacent. Back to the tidious work of cleaning/formatting my computers. My gaming rig, laptop and portable HDD were affected. My study rig is fine. My server should be ok since its running Win2k3 and will have to check on my Brother’s portable HDD and laptop too just in case.

Good news is that after the strike and long break, finally the season has kicked off for US series. Caught 2 episodes of Prison Break last night. As good as ever I would say. altho the Sarah thingy was quite rubbish. The bad news would be that the sub for We Got Married has decided stopped and I have no other source to turn to. Noooooo. Anyone has any alternative please let me know.
