Chinese Democracy

Today is the day where I’ve finally got to listen to the album and its great! Biggest album of the year, maybe not to everyone, but to me, it’s the biggest of the decade. Like what this article said, the album is an important part to many people’s life and it also meant to me. Big big thank you to Huilin for getting the CD for me =D Cheers !

Guns N’ Roses definitely still sounds like GnR, even with the new members. I used to think the new group sucks back in 99-2000. But now I’ll take my words back. And since Chinese Democracy is the first part of a trilogy, I hope Axl won’t make us wait too long for it. Great job to all the rest of the band, Robin, Bumblefoot, Dizzy, Richard, Tommy, Frank, Bryan, Chris, Paul and BUCKETHEAD! Also all those who worked on the album to make it possible.

Damn it !

About 3 weeks into using the iPhone and I don’t really like it. I’ve just checked out the SE X1, its a really cool phone and being a SE user for so long I simply love SE products. The most annoying thing is that the phone released just afew days after I got the iPhone. I didn’t even know such a phone is coming out. I only heard of the Touch HD but will only hit shores like in Dec and I can’t wait because my w850 and my other backup k500 both died on me. Being phoneless is kinda difficult. Friends, family, work, etc is all dependent on it, and I only realize we are actually so attached to our phones until mine was down.

Anyone wanna trade phones? ^^

I’ve been watching Man vs Wild this week. So far I’ve cleared about 2+ seasons. While watching, I kinda miss the outfield days during army. I actually enjoy field camps alot, tho some people just simply hates it. It’s quite relaxing to be in the nature just that it’s not that comfortable, cold, limited food and water and usually, not so tasty. What I hate most are things like route marches and drills.

Anyways, the things Bear Grylls does are quite amazing. Some may say it’s stage, etc, but it’s still not easy and I wonder how the hell does he put those things down his throat and not get a tummy ache. Maybe I should go pick up some of this hiking stuff to spice up the monotonous working life; which reminded me that I still haven’t went for the open water diving course I promised myself. Hence I should be planning going thru one pretty soon, probably in January when the monsoon season is over.

Old Toys

Found all these old toys. I think they are more than 20 years old, and still the wheels are really smooth. All of them are produced either from Hotwheels/Mattel or Matchbox; quality of things were really good back then. I was told by my parents that these cars were the only toys I wanted and that I will start playing with them immediately when they bought them for me.

Next up, the ice shaver. This bear is even older than me. My mother said it was from her cousin, for my first birthday. It’s still working up till today, and it is still able to produce very fine ice. There’s nothing like it today. My aunt went to buy a similar one recently and the ice wasn’t as fine. I can’t remember what brand is it, but I remember the box is full of Japanese words, hence it is most likely a product from Japan.

My guitar, bought it like 10 years ago. Still working fine, condition is good too. Only thing is that the knobs are a lil stiff. Likewise, the bass guitar is in very good condition.

Of course there are plenty of other stuffs, but these few are like the milestones which are more significant to me.

It’s been a month since I started working. So far so good, the environment is good, colleagues are good. The only thing I don’t like is the peak hour traffics. It’s so unpredictable.

The past 3 weeks were doing mostly elearning which can get really boring at times. Good thing I’m starting training next week onwards, for at least 6 weeks I think. That should be interesting.

Damn, I miss the pre-order date for Rainie’s new album. Double damn, no news of GnR’s Chinese Democracy in Singapore yet and to complete the hat trick, something is bugging me lately.

Nightmares. I’m being plagued by them every night. Some nights I can wake up for like 5 6 times. I wonder what the hell is wrong, did I do something wrong or I’m I suppose to decode the meaning in the dreams. Every morning I look at the mirror and I see Po, kung fu panda. I really need some quality sleep, if this continues, I know I’m gonna get really sick.

It’s November, and early in the morning it was pouring November rain. Anyways, big congratulations to Brandon and June. Just attended their wedding @ CHC at noon with the rest of my mates at Monash. The weather by then was quite nice for the reception on the roof. Wish them a blissful marriage and a rich life of love and joy together!
